Fulfill Your Fiber Dreams!
Fulfill Your Fiber Dreams!
Blue Belle Sheep began as Belle Farm in New Jersey. My horses, sheep, and poultry enjoyed almost fifty acres of fields and woods in the countryside. It was in this small piece of paradise that my animals and I grew up together.
I moved away to Mississippi for college and that’s where I started Blue Belle Sheep. Recently, I graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in both Poultry Science and Large Animal & Dairy Science, as well as a BA in History.
I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and my sheep have always had a special place in my heart. My love for sheep is what led me to my love of fiber. This love has inspired me to learn how to process raw fleeces and turn them into beautiful batts, dyed locks, and felted creations.
In my Etsy shop, Blue Belle Sheep, you can find Shetland locks and batts made from wool shorn from my sheep. I process these fleeces by washing, picking, dyeing, and carding them. In addition, you can find gorgeous 12+ inch Teeswater locks that I processed from raw fleeces to beautifully hand dyed locks. Plus you can look for angora wool from my German Angora rabbits. Also available are fun textured art batts made from alpaca and a British breed blend roving I hand dyed plus mulberry silk roving and noil. Occasionally, I also have needle felted animals, like a pair of sheep or geese, for sale.
I couldn't have taken my love for fiber and turned it into a business without the help and support of my wonderful husband, Josh. It has been such a joy to see his love for animals grow over the years since I've known him, and he pops up in many photos with my animals throughout this site.
